PCOS Philippines: A Thank You to TalentWorldGroup for Growing With Me as Founder of PCOS Millennials

Before anything else, I want to say thank you. That is really what this blog is about, more than anything I could try to dress it up as.

This is my PCOS Philippines story, the one behind PCOS Millennials, but it is just as much a thank you letter to TalentWorldGroup. I have wanted to write this properly for a while now.

Not the short version I have shared before, but the fuller one, the one that explains how a company that simply hired me back in 2019 somehow became part of the reason PCOS Millennials exists the way it does today, and part of how I hope to carry it forward.

For companies, supporting the causes their Talents care about can be a meaningful part of workplace culture and corporate social responsibility.

How My PCOS Philippines Advocacy Started With PCOS Millennials

PCOS came into my life quietly, the way I think it does for a lot of Filipinas.

Nobody sat me down and explained it properly. I learned it in pieces, through late nights of searching online, through OB-GYN visits where I asked more questions than the appointment probably allowed for, through Facebook groups where I read other women's posts long before I ever felt brave enough to write my own.

I knew the feeling of it before I understood the medical explanation for it.

The mood swings I could not explain to my own family without sounding dramatic. The skin. The weight that would not move no matter what I tried or how careful I was. The quiet embarrassment of not fully understanding my own body, no matter how much I read about it in between shifts, errands, and everything else that filled my day. (I wrote more about those early, confusing symptoms in this guide, if you would like the fuller picture.)

I did not start PCOS Millennials with a business plan or a five-year vision.

I started it because I needed somewhere to put everything I was feeling and learning, and because I hoped that somewhere out there, another Filipina needed to read it too. It began small, just a page, with no promise that anyone would ever find it, let alone stay.

Some women found it anyway.

Then more did. I began receiving messages from Filipinas describing the exact symptoms I once had, asking the same questions I used to quietly ask myself. That is when PCOS Millennials stopped being just my own story and became something bigger than me, something built for every Filipina trying to understand her own body the way I once tried to understand mine.

TalentWorldGroup Believed in Me Since 2019

At around the same time all of this was happening in my personal life, I was also building a career at TalentWorldGroup, where I have worked since 2019.

I still remember what it felt like being hired there, how much I wanted to prove myself, and how unsure I still was of my own capabilities back then. TWG gave me that chance anyway, and never once made me feel like I had to earn my place twice. Over the years, I grew there in ways I did not expect when I first started. I took on different projects, joined company contests I somehow ended up winning, and slowly built the kind of confidence I simply did not have before.

TWG runs on a home-based setup, which means a great deal of trust is placed on each person to manage their own time and their own work, without someone standing over your shoulder the entire day.

I think that trust shaped me more than I realized at the time. It is the same trust and independence that allowed me to build PCOS Millennials quietly, after hours, with nobody assigning it to me and nobody checking whether I was keeping up with it. I simply had to keep showing up, for both things, night after night, and TWG's way of working made room for that without my ever having to explain myself.

There were harder seasons too. Roles I applied for internally that did not go my way. Weeks where I genuinely wondered if I was moving in the right direction at all. But even then, I stayed with TWG, and TWG stayed with me. Looking back now, I believe those quieter, harder seasons were exactly what gave me the space to notice how much PCOS Millennials was starting to mean to me, even while my job on paper stayed the same.

How TWG Helped Me Register PCOS Millennials With DTI and Keep My Free Tools Running

Here is something I do not think I have said clearly enough in my past posts: TalentWorldGroup was one of the reasons I was able to register PCOS Millennials properly under DTI here in the Philippines.

It sounds like a small, almost boring detail, just a piece of paperwork, but it mattered enormously to me. It gave PCOS Millennials structure. It made it real, something I could actually point to instead of just a Facebook page with a following. And I would not have been able to afford that step, along with everything else that comes with running an advocacy on the side, without the stability of having a steady job at TWG.

That same stability is also the reason I have been able to keep several of my self-assessment tools free for every Filipina who visits my website, including the Insulin Resistance Test, the PCOS self-assessment test, and the Fertility and Ovulation Test.

None of these have ever cost the women who use them a single peso, and a large part of why I have been able to keep it that way is because of the income and flexibility that came from being employed at TWG.

I do not think people always realize how much a steady paycheck matters to advocacy work like this. There is no hidden sponsor behind most of what I do, no grant sitting quietly in the background. There is just my salary from TWG, stretched across hosting fees, ebooks, small design tools, and whatever else PCOS Millennials needed at the time.

TWG has supported my work in quiet, practical ways since the very beginning, from providing the stability and flexibility I needed to grow PCOS Millennials to later providing direct sponsorship for the advocacy.

When Support Came in a Way I Did Not Expect

There was a time I reached out, hoping TWG could support PCOS Millennials more directly.

It did not happen then. I remember feeling disappointed, though not entirely surprised, and I simply continued building on my own the way I always had. Then, later, without me asking again, TWG came back around on their own.

What stayed with me was not just the support itself, though that alone meant so much.

It was how it happened. I was able to speak directly with Andrew Harmati, with no unnecessary bureaucracy and no long process to sit through first. Just an honest conversation, and someone who genuinely wanted to know what I needed before offering anything at all.

I have read plenty of company websites talk about investing in causes that matter to their people. I used to scroll past lines like that without thinking twice, the way most people probably do. This time, I was the one it actually applied to, and I finally understood the difference between a company that says something like that for branding, and TalentWorldGroup, a company that actually lives it out when nobody outside that one conversation is even watching.

I believe the timing was not an accident either. PCOS Millennials had to become something real first, with its own ebooks, its own audience, its own DTI registration, before support made sense to offer. TWG gives opportunity, and I have learned firsthand that it often shows up in moments you were not expecting it, exactly when you have quietly earned it without realizing it yet.

Still Growing, Still Grateful, and Hoping for More

I am still with TalentWorldGroup today. I still answer PCOS Millennials messages late at night, long after my shift ends, the same way I always have.

What has changed is that I am no longer doing this completely on my own, and TWG is one of the biggest reasons why. I am deeply grateful for being hired in the first place, for being trusted enough to stay and grow all these years, and for being seen not only as an employee, but as someone building a real advocacy on the side that mattered to them too.

That kind of recognition is not something every company gives its people, and I do not take it lightly, not for a single day.

If I am allowed to hope for more, here it is: I hope that someday, if it is meant to be, my relationship with TWG grows beyond employee and employer. I would love nothing more than for PCOS Millennials and TalentWorldGroup to stand together someday as partners, working side by side for Filipina women's health, rather than one simply supporting the other from a distance.

I do not know if that day will come, but I know I will keep showing up in a way that makes it worth considering, the same way I have shown up for both my job and my advocacy since 2019.

For now, I hold on to what is already true today. TWG gave me an opportunity when I needed one, back when I was still unsure of what I had to offer. TWG helped me build something official out of what used to be just a page nobody knew about. TWG has helped carry the cost of keeping my tools free for every Filipina who needs them, quietly, through nothing more than a steady paycheck and a flexible way of working. And TWG showed up for PCOS Millennials at exactly the moment I had stopped expecting anyone to.

To every Filipina reading this who is quietly building something on the side while still showing up for a job that pays the bills, I hope you take this with you: keep showing up for both. You never really know which door will open, or when, or through whom. Mine opened through TalentWorldGroup, and I am endlessly thankful that it did, and that it still does.
